Welcome to the course on How to Navigate and Manage the Energy Transition! In this course, we will explore the process of transitioning from traditional sources of energy to cleaner, more sustainable energy sources. We will examine the challenges and opportunities associated with the energy transition and study the strategies and techniques required to manage it effectively. The course will begin with an overview of the energy transition and its importance in addressing the global climate crisis. We will study the different sources of energy and understand the advantages and limitations of each source. We will also examine the current state of energy production and consumption and the need for a transition to cleaner and more sustainable sources of energy. Next, we will explore the challenges associated with the energy transition, including the financial, technical, and social aspects. We will study the different policies and regulations that have been implemented worldwide to facilitate the energy transition and examine their impact on the energy sector. In the later part of the course, we will delve into the strategies and techniques required to manage the energy transition effectively. We will study the different stages of the transition, including emissions scope 1, 2 and 3, measurement, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. We will also explore the importance of stakeholder engagement and communication in managing the energy transition. By the end of this course, you will have a general understanding of the energy transition, the challenges and opportunities associated with it, and the strategies and techniques required to manage it effectively. You will also be aware of the different policies and regulations worldwide that are facilitating the energy transition and the importance of stakeholder engagement and communication in its success. We will finish with a Q&A session to allow participants to get the most of our experts.
